When hacker are able to hack or hijack world’s biggest social platforms like Yahoo, LinkedIn etc. then how can we surely say that our information is safe.
LinkedIn Hacking- on June 6, A Russian Hackers hacked about 6.5 Million LinkedIn Encrypted & Hashed Passwords.
Yahoo Hacking- On July 11, Yahoo has confirmed that some attackers breaches its security system and leaked about 4.5 Lacs user’s Login passwords & posted the list online. Yahoo confirmed in a statement-
“An attacker breached company systems July 11 and lifted the data from archived information related to the Yahoo Contributor Network,”
It’s good to know that the hackers were not attached on Yahoo’s security network because of any harm but they just want to warn web & social network publishers about their bad security practices.

A Yahoo’s Spokesperson said –
“At Yahoo we take security very seriously and invest heavily in protective measures to ensure the security of our users and their data across all our products. We are currently investigating the claims of a compromise of Yahoo user IDs,”
“We encourage users to change their passwords on a regular basis and also familiarise themselves with our online safety tips at security.yahoo.com.”
