“This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month.
If you’re reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you.
Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life.
I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too.”
Facebook already reached to 955 Million monthly active users in July 2012 and within a little amount of time Facebook gained 45 million users and finally becomes the world’s biggest social networking site with 1 Billion monthly active users across the world.
In 2008, Facebook reached to 100 Million magical record and then it grows continuously. Remember, there is a difference in active users and registered users, this the milestone of monthly active users, we wouldn’t say it as 1 Billion registered users as company didn’t shared the number of registered users with the public or we can say it’s a confusing term.
On 4 Oct, Facebook officials also shared this video on YouTube and wrote-
“Chairs, doorbells, bridges, airplanes. These are things that people use to get together and connect. Facebook is also something that over a billion people around the world use to connect with one another.”
Do you think Facebook can reach the 2 Billion users? Please comment your views and thoughts-
